Ruth is a senior Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and EMDR Practitioner. She is a collaborative therapist who supports clients to increase self understanding and choices, work through past distress and make lasting changes.
Ruth has extensive experience in the treatment of mental health issues, recovery from stressful and traumatic experiences, PTSD, work stress, family breakdown and adjustment to life changes including pregnancy, parenting, menopause, grief and bereavement, migration and relocation.
Ruth offers a non-judgemental space for clients to move towards healing and wholeness integrating therapies including EMDR therapy, Mindfulness and Relaxation, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Perinatal Counselling, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy.
Fees and Rebates: Cost is $220 per 60 minute session. A Medicare Rebate of $85.20 is available with a Mental Health Treatment Plan from a GP or psychiatrist for 10 sessions per calendar year. Private health funds rebates are available for some funds including Bupa, HCF, Teachers Health.
